Hitchin Town Belles U12  4 v 0  Enfield Town Ladies B

Home Counties Girls Football League; U12 Division 2

Players: Beth, Chloe, Christie, Ruby, Alex, Abigail, Emily, Maddy (Captain), Casey, Sophie, Carmen, Tamsin.

With 6 players injured or unable to play, 3 players from the U11's were drafted in and performed like stars in this great victory.

Beth continued in goal after her great performance from last week and had little to do in the first half but her clearances were reaching beyond the halfway line. Chloe came in as our third sweeper in as many matches and was excellent in controlling her defence. Smiler Abs took the left back and Emily right back positions and both put in fantastic performances. Emily made great clearances and made a great last ditch tackle to prevent a certain goal. Ruby swapped with Ems half way through. Christie played at the front of the defensive diamond and was back to her best in ball winning and tackling. Soph and Casey worked wonders on the wings and Tams and tiger Alex up front. Captain Maddy and Carmen controlled the midfield and worked from defence and in attack wonderfully. The first half worked like a dream the girls kept to shape and kept the Enfield defence busy. Tamsin scored three times in the first half and could have had more as we dominated.

In the second half Beth came out and Christie went in goal and was busier, as Enfield worked harder to test our defence. Tamsin then scored a contender for goal of the season a looping volley from the edge of the box high into the net. The game went a bit scrappy after this and Enfield made us work.

Well done girls a great result and fully deserved lets keep it going.

Alex, Emily and Smiler Abs put in giant performances and would be welcome back into our team again.

Player of the match: 4 goal hero Tamsin. I think that's seven for her this season.
